Celebs Who Have Had Tattoo Removal

There was a time when tattoos were considered permanent.

Once you had committed to a design, you were stuck with it for life. Fortunately, with the use of laser therapy, it is now possible to remove unwanted ink gradually over time. In fact, evidence of tattoo removal has been noticed again and again on the red carpet. Read on to find out which celebs changed their mind about their ink…

Heidi Klum

When Heidi Klum was married to singer Seal, she had his name tattooed on her arm in celebration of their fourth wedding anniversary, together with a line of stars to represent their children. The celeb couple split in 2014, and Klum underwent the process of tattoo removal, getting rid of Seal’s name, but keeping the star design intact.

Eva Longoria

There was a time when Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids star Eva Longoria had the word ‘nine’ tattooed on the back of her neck. The design was a tribute to her then-husband Tony Parker, a basketball player who wore the number nine jersey. When the couple split up, Longoria had the ink removed, along with two other tattoos, one of which was their wedding date in Roman numerals on her wrist.

Melanie Griffith

Actress Melanie Griffith famously had the name ‘Antonio’ tattooed inside a heart on her bicep when she was married to fellow celeb Antonio Banderas, but she had it removed when they separated. When the couple broke up, Griffiths began by covering her ex’s name with make-up, but soon opted for a permanent removal of the entire tattoo.

Do you have an unwanted tattoo you would like to get rid of? We offer laser tattoo removal, which makes it possible to remove tattoos that were once considered permanent.

The treatment works by gradually fading the tattoo out by breaking and dispersing the pigment that is fixed within the layer of the skin. This process allows your body to eliminate it as waste via your circulatory and lymphatic system.
