Laser Skin Tightening Helps Reduce Loose Skin
If you’ve noticed your skin starting to sag, you might be interested in laser skin tightening, a treatment that restores and rejuvenates the appearance of the skin. A number of factors can cause loose skin, including ageing, genetics, long-term exposure to UV rays, and extreme weight loss. If any of these factors have caused damage to your skin, read on to find out about some of the benefits of opting for laser tightening…
- The treatment is non-surgical – Not only is the laser skin tightening treatment non-surgical, it actually doesn’t involve the use of injections either. This means that there is no downtime following the treatment session. The treatment simply involves the use of a laser, which shines through the surface of your skin to heat the collagen without burning your skin. The heat works by stimulating the growth of tissues, making your skin tighter over time. Because the treatment is non-invasive, there is no downtime or recovery period after the session, and you will be able to resume your normal activities straight away.
- It’s not painful – Although the laser heats the tissues beneath your skin, your skin is not damaged in any way and the treatment itself does not cause any pain or discomfort. You may notice some redness following the treatment, but this is completely normal and will resolve itself over time.
- You’ll notice long-lasting improved skin quality – We use the Nd Yag Laser, which stimulates the body’s natural ability to produce collagen. This helps to decrease the appearance of fine lines and sagging, resulting in tighter skin, firmer pores and improved overall skin quality. With the use of the laser, both the superficial layers and the sub-dermal layers of the skin are tightened, while blood circulation is improved. We generally recommend that you come in for between four and eight treatments around one to three weeks apart for optimal, long-lasting results.
