Unlike traditional liposuction, laser liposuction uses laser energy to target and shrink fat cells in fat-rich areas. The laser energy penetrates down to the fat cell level to create holes in the fat cell membranes. The fat cells leak their contents, which is either flushed out of the body via the lymphatic system or burns it as energy. As a result, the large groups of fat cells significantly decrease in size, sculpting the target areas for a smoother, more toned appearance.

The main advantage of laser liposuction is that it is gentle on the body, which means multiple treatments don’t cause significant trauma. In general, the amount of scarring and swelling post-treatment is far less compared to traditional liposuction too.
